I am from Angola ( south west africa) live in germany and my Husband is american, but i can't get a tourist Visa to the United States and i dont understand, why is it so difficult for me to get a tourist Visa for States. Does anyone knows WHY?? They want me to apply for a Green Card, but i dont want to live in the states, just want to go visit my Husband's Family.

A. Well, all you have to do is convince them of this truth. Obviously, that's not so easy for someone who's already left their original country to live and work elsewhere. So, all you have to do is convince the interviewing officer that your current ties to Germany are much stronger than your former ties to Angola proved to be. Of course, if your husband also lives in Germany, you could always tell the interviewing officer it would be much easier and faster to to file an immigrant petitition for you directly in Germany that it would be in the US. Perhaps, they'll listen to that, but in reality, for most people in your situation, the officer's experience tells him you won't come back. And because of all the people who came to the interview… [cont.]
