GNU Free Documentation License immigration? Q. If a person or persons have already filed their petition and in the comming time after that they have married and had a child, does this effect in any way the process of their immigration? For example, the father of a family files the proper paperwork for immigration, and in the comming years one of their children has married and had a child, is there any extra paperwork or processes that need to be undertaken? Or is it as i understand, that the persons paperwork will be filed, and they then thereafter must again independently file a petition for the new wife and child? I hope you understand the situaiton i am trying to convey, and will help me in understanding the proper procedures. Thank you very much for your time and assistance. The preference and timing to bring in a child who is unmarried can be much shorter than bringing in a child who is married, because then you are bringing in multiple people, and the potential for more. You need to look at the preferences and the dates for each category in the January Visa Bulletin at the US State Department web page. I don't know your category of application. And I've heard that if the child marries the application starts all over, which if the child has become an adult in the meantime and was filed for under a minor child preference can be a big problem. If the application was filed while a minor, the person doesn't 'age out' however, a married child is a different preference category altogether. You need to look… [cont.] Answered by DAR - Thu Jan 17 04:09:26 2008 What immigration benefits do spouses of military personel get? Q. None, you will have to go through the same process as everyone else, even when you are married. The only thing that might be a possibility is that the MTF is cleared to do immigration medical exams so there is no cost. And maybe anything that needs to be notarized can be done at the JAG office. Are you already in the US? Did you come on a fiancee visa? or something else? You will need several copies of the marriage certificate as well as both of your birth certificates to start the necessary paperwork. The process can take months to go through so you are aware of it. After you have had a Conditional Visa for 2 years you will get a Permanent Resident one. You may be eligible to get your US Citizenship within 2 to 3 years instead… [cont.] Answered by NWIP - Thu Dec 13 07:49:54 2007 What steps does immigration take to see if an illegal who married an american is already married in mexico?
Q. If there is an open petition for a spouse and that spouse is already married. How does the INS (immigration) check it out? Are there checks that they go through to find out if they are already married? Asked by gabalot56 - Mon Dec 1 18:47:17 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Part of the immigration process includes verifying that the marriage is valid. This means both does the couple live together, etc. *and* is each person legally able to marry? For the US person, they'll get a residence history and check for marriage licenses in those places. For the foreign person, they'll do the same thing. The critical part for each is getting an accurate residence history. I can't help you with this part because I don't know what the Mexican will say about where he lived in Mexico. If you have information, you can try contacting CIS but you'll need a minimum of the guy's name and DOB. Since you're asking, I'll guess that you know the US female involved, so you may be able to get some data through her. The short answer… [cont.] Answered by going_for_baroque - Mon Dec 1 21:15:25 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "immigration" Arizona's anti-illegal law, SB 1070, comes with how-to
