Stuhrling 42BB RT Jazz Casual Watch (Men's)
Jazz has got to have that thing. You have to be born with it. You can't even buy it. If you could buy it, they'd have it everywhere. (Miles Davis). It was the 1920 s and a time of prosperity and decadence in this country. The Roaring Twenties is fondly remembered for its culture of glamour, style and jazz. Flappers with bobbed hair dancing the Charleston, and high society giving birth to a style of design known as Art Deco make this era in our history one of mythical proportions that will be revered for generations to come. At Stührling Original we too hold deep appreciation for this period in American history and as such have dedicated our Roaring Twenties Series to the Father of Art Deco, Erté (the French pronunciation of his initials, R.T.). Stührling Original is pleased to unveil our latest entry from our Roaring Twenties Series: The RT Jazz. This fine gentlemen s mechanical automatic timepiece features an auto-correctional big date complication at the two o clock position with an offset second-hand sub-dial in the shape of a trapezoid at the six o clock position. However it is the hydraulically stamped lines in the design that make the RT Jazzy so desirable and stylish. The geometric angled sun-rays cut into the dial make a stunning complement to the famous Roaring Twenties rectangular case that has already spawned three of our most popular models of all time. The geometrically art-deco inspired tank-shaped case is constructed from 316L surgical grade stainless steel and has a finely polished rounded stainless-steel bezel. The RT Jazz is housed in our newest version of our Roaring Twenties case which has been spruced up just a bit with a convex topside sporting a domed Krysterna crystal which makes the new RT Jazz even jazzier! The overall design is complemented marvelously with skeletonized alpha hands and art-deco inspired Arabic numerals. The markers are all individually applied and crown on the RT Jazz sports a crenellated edge with an embossed Stührling logo. The brain behind the RT Jazz is a 22-jewel mechanical automatic movement which has been fully decorated with Côtes de Genève, accented by blued steel screws and a Damier finished rotor with the engraved Stührling logo. Covering the magnificently decorated engine is a fully adorned screw-down exhibition case back sporting a beveled edge. Water resistant to 50 meters, the RT Jazz is mounted on a 22 millimeter wide alligator embossed genuine French leather strap. The strap has quick release pins for easy interchangeability, a water repellant lining and is also bedecked with a stainless steel push button dual deployant clasp. Tank Shaped 316L Surgical Grade Stainless Steel Case, Hydraulically Stamped Dial with Sun Ray Design, Skeletonized Alpha Hands, Individually Applied Arabic Numerals, Polished Stainless Steel Bezel, 3H-9H: 33mm; Overall 6H-12H: 42mm, Fully Decorated Screw-Down Exhibition Beveled Edge Case Back, Krysterna Crystals (Domed on Front), Stainless Steel Crenellated Edge Crown with Embossed Logo (6.0mm), 5 ATM Water Resistant (50 meters/165 feet), Alligator Embossed Genuine French Leather Padded Strap (22mm) with Water Repellant Lining and Quick Release Pins, Push Button Dual Deployant Clasp with Stührling Signed Logo, Instruction Manual: G2. Manual/Self-Winding Mechanical, 90042 Calibre, Hours, Minutes, and Second-Hand Sub Dial with an Auto-Correctional Big Date Complication, 21,600 v.p.h. 22 Jewels, 36 Hours Power Reserve, Fully Decorated Movement with Côtes de Genève, Blued Steel Screws, Damier Finished Rotor and Engraved Stührling Logo.

What culture/society/country is offended by bottoms of feet?
Q. I heard a long time ago that there was a place or belief that found the bottoms of people's feet offensive but I can't remember the people/place. What is this culture?

A. If you are in a Buddhist group being addressed by a Buddhist teacher, it is considered disrespectful to have the soles of your feet facing the teacher. You also don't place any books of Buddhist teachings on the floor - they can be on your lap or on a cushion.
